Red Sox sign five additional players selected in 2017 June Draft

The Boston Red Sox have signed five additional players selected in the 2017 June Draft.
Vice President of Amateur Scouting Mike Rikard made the announcement.
The signings include right-handed pitcher Jake Thompson, who was selected in the fourth round out of Oregon State University. Thompson has been assigned to short-season Single-A Lowell.
Boston also signed right-handed pitchers Aaron Perry (14th round) and Andrew Carber (30th round), as well as outfielders David Durden (20th round) and Tyler Dearden (29th round). Each of the four players will report to the Gulf Coast League Red Sox.
In all, 32 of the 40 players selected by Boston in the 2017 June Draft were signed to contracts, including each of the club's top 14 picks and 21 of the top 22.
Attached is a list of the Red Sox' 2017 draft picks. Names in bold indicate players signed by the club.
