Lara 5, Margarita 2 (7 innings)
After Margarita plated two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Lara charged back in the makeup game of a Nov. 26 rainout. Lara scored five unanswered runs to claim the victory. Luis Jimenez had an important three-run home run in the seventh, and Jairo Perez went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Box score

Lara 10, Margarita 5
It was a great night at the plate for the Lara hitters, who belted 15 hits. Led by Pirates youngster Andrew Lambo, who went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, Lara claimed the doubleheader sweep. Lambo was one of seven starters who had two hits. Erasmo Ramirez got the win, while Henry Sosa took the loss. Box score

Caracas 5, Zulia 3 (11 innings)
A tight game throughout, it took a two-run 11th inning by Caracas to secure the victory. Caracas posted 14 hits, and the biggest of the night came on a RBI single by Aharon Eggleston to plate what turned into the game-winning run. Box score

Magallanes 7, La Guaira 5
Magallanes struggled to score early but was able to plate six runs in the final three frames. The team was led by Eliezer Alfonzo, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Lew Ford also had three hits. Box score

Mexican Pacific League

Hermosillo 5, Mexicali 4
Hermosillo scored all its runs in just one inning, but a five-run fifth was enough to get the win. The team had six hits in that inning, including a three-run double by Jerry Owens. Edgar Gonzalez got the win, while Marco Duarte took the loss. Box score

Los Mochis 3, Culiacan 1
A pitchers' duel for most of the game, Los Mochis was able to break a tie with two runs in the top of the ninth to secure the victory. Brian Burgamy went 2-for-4, while Sandy Madera went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Hector Navarro took the loss. Box score

Navojoa 5, Mazatlan 1
Scoring four runs in the final three innings, Navojoa topped Mazatlan. Jon Weber went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Luis Fonseca went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Horacio Ramirez took his fifth loss of the season, allowing two runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Box score

Obregon 6, Guasave 3
Scoring early and often on Thursday, Obregon maintained a comfortable lead throughout and coasted to victory over Guasave. All but one Obregon starter had a hit. Dan Robertson led the charge, going 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Reliever Jeff Bennett took the loss. Box score

Toros 4, Estrellas 3
With the game tied going into the bottom of the ninth, some heroics by Toros and a few fielding miscues from Estrellas secured the win. Jose Valverde picked up his first win of the season, while Enerio Del Rosario took the loss. Box score

Aguilas 3, Gigantes 2 (10 innings)
Aguilas led off the 10th inning with singles from Yankees No. 6 prospect Zolio Almonte and Hector Luna. Another single by San Francisco's Joaquin Arias with one out plated Almonte, the game's winning run. Reliever Ramon Ramirez took his second loss of the season, while Luis Perdomo got the win. Santurce 4, Caguas 3
A tight game throughout, Santurce earned the victory on the strength of the top of its lineup. Adron Chambers went 2-for-3, and Jack Lopez went 2-for-4. Jorge Martinez got his second win of the season, allowing two runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. Box score

Mayaguez 4, Carolina 3 (12 innings)

Mayaguez knocked off Carolina on Thursday with a run in the 12th inning. Four singles in the inning proved to be the difference, with Luis Figueroa striking what proved to be a game-winning single to left field. Box score
