Red Sox announce roster moves

The Red Sox today optioned outfielder Alex Hassan and right-handed pitcher Steven Wright to Triple-A Pawtucket.  The club also reassigned first baseman/outfielder Mark Hamilton and outfielders Jeremy Hazelbaker and Juan Carlos Linares to minor league camp.  The announcements were made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington.

With today's moves, the Red Sox now have 52 players in big league camp, including 37 players from the 40-man roster, one on 60-day disabled list, and 14 non-roster invitees.
