Red Sox announce roster moves

FORT MYERS, FL -- Following today's game in Sarasota, the Red Sox optioned right-handed pitchers Rubby De La Rosa and Allen Webster to Triple-A Pawtucket and also optioned catcher Christian Vazquez to Double-A Portland.  The announcements were made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington.

With these moves, the Red Sox now have 48 players in big league camp, including 34 players from the 40-man roster, one on 60-day disabled list, and 13 non-roster invitees.
