The Blue Jays' future was on full display Thursday as phenoms Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Anthony Alford combined for nine hits and six runs in Toronto's 9-3 win over the Orioles.
Appearing in his first career Grapefruit League game, Guerrero, Toronto's No. 1 prospect and No. 3 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 list, paced the Blue Jays' offense with a 4-for-5 performance. Each of his four hits was a single, and he also scored two runs.
Bichette, the No. 13 overall prospect (Blue Jays' No. 2) who was also playing in the Grapefruit League for the first time, entered as a pinch-runner in the third inning and proceeded to deliver a pair of run-scoring singles.
Alford, meanwhile, had arguably the best game of the talented trio, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored. The No. 47 overall prospect (Blue Jays' No. 3) is hitting .364 this spring, with hits in five of his 10 games. Six of his eight hits have been for extra bases.

"We know they're good, and the baseball world knows they're good, and they go out there and produce in their first day," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "They've got to feel really good. For our fans and our organization, it's exciting. They finally get to see them play."
Other top prospect performances from Thursday's action:
• No. 6 overall prospect Victor Robles (Nationals' No. 1) came off the bench to go 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs. He also scored a run and picked up his second stolen base of the spring.
• No. 14 overall prospect Brendan Rodgers (Rockies' No. 1) put together a multihit performance in Colorado's 3-2 win over the Reds, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base, one run scored and an RBI. Sam Hilliard (Rockies' No. 12) walked it off for the Rockies in the ninth when he plated Rodgers with a single.
• No. 72 overall prospect Jorge Mateo (A's No. 4) collected his first spring knock, stole two bases and scored a run in a win against the Angels. Fellow shortstop Kevin Merrell (No. 15) came off the bench and tallied an RBI single along with a stolen base and a run scored. On the mound, right-hander Lou Trivino (No. 29) fired 1 1/3 perfect frames in relief of Kendall Graveman.

• Cubs No. 8 prospect Victor Caratini scored two runs in a 1-for-2 performance out of the eight-hole for the Cubs. His lone hit was a double, Caratini's first of the spring, and he also reached once via a walk.
• Marlins No. 17 prospect Braxton Lee reached base three times out of the leadoff spot and stole his fourth base of the spring in Miami's loss to the Cardinals. The 24-year-old outfielder finished the game 2-for-2 with a walk, improving his Grapefruit League average to .300.
• White Sox No. 18 prospect Ryan Cordell paced his split-squad club in a Cactus League loss to the Rangers, going 3-for-3 with three doubles and four RBIs.
