Colorado Rockies recall outfielder David Dahl

The Colorado Rockies announced Sunday that they have recalled outfielder David Dahl from Triple-A Albuquerque and have placed right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela on the 10-day disabled list due to right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to August 3.

The Colorado Rockies announced Sunday that they have recalled outfielder David Dahl from Triple-A Albuquerque and have placed right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela on the 10-day disabled list due to right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to August 3.
 
•  Dahl, 24, was recalled from Triple-A on April 22 for his first stint of the season on the Major League roster … played in 32 games (20 starts) before being placed on the 10-day disabled list June 1 with a broken right foot … batted .275 (25-for-91) with eight runs, three doubles, two triples, four home runs, 13 RBI, four walks, 28 strikeouts and two stolen bases with the Rockies this season … was reinstated from the DL on July 27 and optioned to Triple-A, where he has batted .286 (22-for-77) with seven runs, seven doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, one walk, 19 strikeouts and one stolen base in 19 games with the Isotopes … originally selected in the first round (10th overall) of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, the Birmingham, Ala., native has hit .304 (95-for-313) with 50 runs, 15 doubles, six triples, 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 19 walks, 87 strikeouts and seven stolen bases in 95 career games with Colorado. 
 
•  Senzatela, 23, will be making his second career stint on the disabled list, his second within the last month… placed on the 10-day DL on July 13 with a blister on his right middle finger before being reinstated July 22 … has made three starts since that reinstatement, going 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA (17.0 IP, 6 ER), eight walks and 17 strikeouts … in five total starts this season, is 2-2 with a 3.60 ERA (30.0 IP, 12 ER), 11 walks and 23 strikeouts … prior to his first start of the season on July 3, made 10 relief appearances and went 2-1 with a 6.23 ERA (17.1 IP, 12 ER), six walks and 14 strikeouts … since his Major League debut with Colorado on April 6 of last season, the Valencia, Venezuela, native has gone 14-8 with a 4.65 ERA (182.0 IP, 94 ER), 64 walks and 139 strikeouts across 51 games with 25 starts.
 
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
