Colorado Rockies recall right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed right-hander Chad Bettis on the 10-day disabled list with a blister on his right middle finger.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed right-hander Chad Bettis on the 10-day disabled list with a blister on his right middle finger.
Senzatela, 23, will be making his second stint on the active Major League roster this season … will be making his first start of the season tonight vs. San Francisco … went 2-1 with a 6.23 ERA (17.1 IP, 12 ER), six walks and 14 strikeouts in 10 relief appearances in his first stint before being optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on May 4 … in eight starts with the Isotopes, went 3-1 with a 2.15 ERA (37.2 IP, 9 ER), 12 walks and 42 strikeouts … in his most recent start on June 28, pitched 7.2 scoreless innings with three hits, one walk and four strikeouts while throwing a season-high 90 pitches … in 46 career appearances, including 20 starts, has gone 12-6 with a 4.86 ERA (152.0 IP, 82 ER), 53 walks and 116 strikeouts … was originally signed by the Rockies as a non-drafted international free agent, July 8, 2011. Bettis, 29, has gone 5-1 with a 5.10 ERA (95.1 IP, 54 ER), 38 walks and 69 strikeouts in 17 starts with the Rockies this season … left his last start, July 1 at Los Angeles-NL, after three innings with a hot spot on his right middle finger … in 115 career appearances, 86 starts, across parts of six seasons with Colorado has gone 30-24 with a 5.03 ERA (512.0 IP, 286 ER), 180 walks and 378 strikeouts … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the second round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas Tech.
