Colorado Rockies reinstate infielder DJ LeMahieu from the 10-day disabled list

The Colorado Rockies announced Tuesday that they have reinstated infielder DJ LeMahieu from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned infielder Pat Valaika to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced Tuesday that they have reinstated infielder DJ LeMahieu from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned infielder Pat Valaika to Triple-A Albuquerque. 
 
•  LeMahieu, 29, was placed on the disabled list April 30, retroactive to April 28, with a strained right hamstring … left the game on April 27 at Miami in the fourth inning … it was his first career stint on the disabled list … is batting .290 (31-for-107) with 17 runs scored, eight doubles, five home runs, 12 RBI, 13 walks and three stolen bases across 27 games played … in parts of seven seasons with Colorado, the two-time All-Star has hit .302 (895-for-2959) with 425 runs scored, 137 doubles, 29 triples, 39 home runs, 295 RBI, 253 walks and 72 stolen bases in 817 games … in his career with Chicago-NL (2011) and Colorado (2012-18), LeMahieu has hit .301 (910-for-3019) with 428 runs, 139 doubles, 29 triples, 39 home runs, 299 RBI, 254 walks and 72 stolen bases across 854 career games. •  Valaika, 25, has hit .103 (6-for-58) with two runs scored, three doubles, one RBI and five walks in 28 games with the Rockies this season … has started seven games at first base, four games at second base and one game at third base … was a member of his first career Opening Day roster … in parts of three seasons with Colorado (2016-18), has hit .224 (58-for-259) with 33 runs scored, 15 doubles, 14 home runs, 43 RBI and 12 walks in 151 career games played … was originally selected by the Rockies in the ninth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of UCLA.
