Homestand events • Play Ball weekend • Diamondbacks (June 8-10)

The Colorado Rockies' three-game homestand begins Friday night vs. the Diamondbacks (June 8-10) as PLAY BALL WEEKEND is celebrated at Coors Field.

MLB launched PLAY BALL in 2016 as a league-wide initiative to encourage youth participation in both formal and informal baseball/softball activities. The PLAY BALL initiative weaves in perfectly with the Rockies' ongoing efforts in youth baseball/softball and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle.

The following events will take place at Coors Field over the course of the three-games series.

Friday, June 8 vs. Diamondbacks, 6:40 p.m. first pitch

• Rooftop: Pregame DJ

• Rooftop Promo: The first 500 fans to the Rooftop will receive a lip balm presented by Shane Co.

• Pregame PLAY BALL Parade: Arapahoe Youth League players and coaches will parade around the warning track.

• PLAY BALL Kids Lineup: 20 kids from the Owen Branch of the Boys & Girls Club will lineup with Rockies players and do an onfield cap exchange.

• Lineup Card Exchange and "Play Ball" Announcement: Two lucky members from the Boys & Girls Club will be chosen, one to deliver the lineup card and the other to announce, "Play Ball!" before the game begins.

• National Anthem by Littleton Public Schools

• Color Guard by Pueblo Police

• Wade Davis' Warrior Dog Foundation: Wade Davis and his wife Katelyn are longtime supporters of organizations that help provide aid for United States Veterans, and they will present a $10,000 check to the Warrior Dog Foundation in a pregame ceremony.

• Wives Charity Grab Bags Event: Fans will be able to purchase a mystery bag with an autographed baseball from a Rockies player or Manager Bud Black, the event can be found on the concourse in behind Section 131.

Saturday, June 9 vs. Diamondbacks, 5:15 p.m. first pitch

 Boys & Girls Club PLAY BALL Clinic: From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., select Rockies players, coaches and staff will participate in a PLAY BALL clinic hosted at the Owens Branch of the Boys & Girls Club.

• Giveaway: All kids entering the gates will receive a Play Ball Weekend Wristband.

• Rooftop Live: Margarita Brothers will perform from 3:30-4:30

• National Anthem by Douglas County Schools

• Color Guard by Douglas County Sheriff

• Pregame PLAY BALL Parade: Chick-Fil-A will host a youth baseball parade around the warning track prior to the game.

• Margaritaville Tribute Ticket Package: Purchase of the Margaritaville Tribute Ticket Package will include a pregame Rooftop performance by a live Jimmy Buffett tribute band and a Rockies Margaritaville-themed shirt.

• Lineup Card Exchange and "Play Ball" Announcement: Two lucky members from the Boys & Girls Club will be chosen, one to deliver the lineup card and the other to announce, "Play Ball!" before the game begins.

• Wives Charity Grab Bags Event: Fans will be able to purchase a mystery bag with an autographed baseball from a Rockies player or Manager Bud Black, the event can be found on the concourse in section 131.

Sunday, June 10 vs. Diamondbacks, 1:10 p.m. first pitch

• Giveaway: All kids entering the gates will receive a Jr Fire Marshall Helmet presented by Hartford.

• National Anthem by Cedar Ridge Elementary

• Color Guard by National Law Enforcement

• God Bless America by Sergeant Ben Sampson

• Hero of the Game: Technical Sergeant Donny Turner

• Rooftop: Pregame DJ

• Pregame PLAY BALL Parade: Chick-Fil-A will host a youth baseball parade around the warning track prior to the game.

• First Responders Appreciation Ticket Package: The Rockies will be donating a portion of each First Responders ticket sold to one of the following: the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the Colorado Firefighter Calendar, and the EMS Association of Colorado.

• Lineup Card Exchange and "Play Ball" Announcement: Two lucky members from the Boys & Girls Club will be chosen, one to deliver the lineup card and the other to announce, "Play Ball!" before the game begins.

• Wives Charity Grab Bags Event: Fans will be able to purchase a mystery bag with an autographed baseball from a Rockies player or Manager Bud Black, the event can be found on the concourse behind Section 131.
