DENVER -- The Rockies' 9-7 walk-off win on Sunday was painful for their All-Star hopeful middle-infield duo -- second baseman DJ LeMahieu and shortstop Trevor Story.
LeMahieu exited in the top of the sixth inning with a left knee contusion, while Story sustained a bruised right middle finger after being hit by a ninth-inning pitch.
Both players will have follow-up exams on Monday.

LeMahieu landed awkwardly after diving for Paul Goldschmidt's RBI single, which had deflected off pitcher Chad Bettis. Daniel Descalso replaced LeMahieu, who was 0-for-1 with a pair of walks and a run, at second base.
"I just felt like my knee stuck in the ground," said LeMahieu, who leads the Rockies in batting average (.327) and on-base percentage (.397). "It just feels really weak and sore."
Story ran the bases after D-backs reliever Silvino Bracho's pitch hit him, in part because the Rockies had exhausted their position players. Had the game gone into extra innings, manager Walt Weiss said he would have pulled Story from the game, likely moving backup catcher Tony Wolters -- who played shortstop and second base in the Minors -- to a middle-infield position. But Mark Reynolds' two-run homer ended the game.

"Everything's OK, just bruised really badly," said Story, who reached for the first-base bag with his right hand -- with no obvious discomfort -- after Bracho's pickoff attempt. "It's hard to move a little bit, just real swollen."
Story went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a single, two walks, a hit by pitch and four runs. His 19 home runs lead Major League rookies and are two short of the all-time NL rookie record before the All-Star break.
