Rockies Recall INF/OF Kyle Parker from Triple-A Colorado Springs

LHP Yohan Flande Optioned to Colorado Springs

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has recalled infielder/outfielder Kyle Parker from Triple-A Colorado Springs and optioned left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Parker (#16) will be available for the Rockies in tonight's game against the Padres at Coors Field (6:40 p.m. MT).

Parker, 24, appears on the Major League roster for the second time this season after a stint in June. He appeared in four games for the Rockies from June 16 to 20 including his first Major League start June 18th at Los Angeles - NL. He has spent the rest of the 2014 season with Colorado Springs accumulating a .292 average (93-for-318) with 22 doubles, 3 triples, 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 50 runs scored. Parker was originally drafted out of Clemson University by the Rockies in the first round, 26th overall, of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft.

Flande, 28, returns to Colorado Springs after making three starts with the Rockies over the past two weeks. He made his Major League debut June 25th at Coors Field against the St. Louis Cardinals going 5.0 innings with 4 runs and a no-decision. Overall, he went 0-2 with a 7.36 ERA (14.2 ip, 12 er). Prior to his time with the Rockies, he went 2-9 with a 4.42 ERA (71.1 ip, 35 er) in 14 games (13 starts) for the Sky Sox. Yohan spent time in the Phillies (2006-10) and Braves (2011-13) organizations before joining the Rockies organization this year.

The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
