Rockies reinstate right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis from the 10-day disabled list

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis from the 10-day disabled list (blister, right middle finger) and have optioned catcher Tom Murphy to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis from the 10-day disabled list (blister, right middle finger) and have optioned catcher Tom Murphy to Triple-A Albuquerque.
 
•  Bettis, 29, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on July 3 with a blister on his right middle finger … made three rehab appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque and posted a 5.14 ERA (14.0 IP, 8 ER) with 16 hits allowed, three walks and 10 strikeouts … in his last rehab start, Aug. 2 vs. Round Rock, allowed four runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts across six innings pitched … has gone 5-1 with a 5.10 ERA (95.1 IP, 54 ER), 38 walks and 69 strikeouts in 17 starts with the Rockies this season … in 115 career appearances, 86 starts, across parts of six seasons with Colorado, has gone 30-24 with a 5.03 ERA (512.0 IP, 286 ER), 180 walks and 378 strikeouts … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the second round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas Tech.  
 
•  Murphy, 27, has batted .227 (20-for-88) with five runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, two home runs, 11 RBI and three walks in 31 games with the Rockies since his recall from Albuquerque on June 12 … in 49 games with Albuquerque, has batted .289 (54-for-187) with 34 runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 45 RBI … in 75 career games with the Rockies across parts of four seasons (2015-18), has batted .220 (42-for-191) with 19 runs, 11 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs, 34 RBI, 13 walks and one stolen base.
