Rockies unveil spring slate, pricing

Colorado kicks off Cactus League action vs. Arizona on Feb. 28

DENVER -- The Rockies will open their 2014 Spring Training schedule against the D-backs on Feb. 28 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Fans planning a spring trip might want to go from March 19-24, when games are scheduled on six consecutive days -- against the Cubs on March 19, the Brewers on March 20, the Indians on March 21, the Mariners on March 22 (split squad), the White Sox on March 23 and the Royals on March 24.

Including the March 22 contest, this year's Cactus League schedule features five split-squad dates. Two are night games at Salt River Fields -- March 3 against the D-backs and March 14 against the Mariners.

Weekends also are a good time to see the Rockies at Salt River Fields, as they will be playing there on Friday and Saturday for four straight weeks starting March 7-8.

In all, the Rockies are scheduled for 33 Cactus League games, 18 at Salt River Fields.

The Rockies and D-backs share Salt River Fields but will meet just three times before the D-backs open the regular season against the Dodgers in Sydney from March 22-23.

The Spring Training schedule ends with a set against the Mariners on March 28, a night game at Peoria, Ariz., and a day game on March 29 at Salt River Fields. The Rockies' regular season opens against the Marlins in Miami on March 31.

Tickets for individual games at Salt River Fields will go on sale Jan. 11, 2014, at www.rockies.com, and can be purchased at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick Centerfield Ticket Office, the Coors Field Ticket Office, at all Rockies Dugout Store locations, or by calling 888-490-0383 or 480-362-9467. Spring Training games away from Salt River Fields will start at 1:05 p.m. MT except for the March 13 game against the Athletics at Phoenix Municipal Stadium (7:05 p.m.).

General admission lawn seating (capacity 4,000) costs $9. Tickets for the 7,000 reserved seats in the seating bowl range from $19 to $28.

The Rockies Plan, which includes tickets for each home game, costs $448 for Infield Box seats, $416 for Dugout Reserve, $384 for Infield Reserve, $352 for View Reserve, $204 for Baseline Reserve and $144 for lawn seating.
