Wilton Lopez returned to Triple-A, RHP Rob Scahill recalled

Scahill will be available today vs. Brewers

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has returned right-handed pitcher Wilton Lopez to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Additionally, right-handed pitcher Rob Scahill has been recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Scahill (#62) will be available for today's Rockies vs. Brewers game (2:10 p.m. MDT) at Coors Field. 

Scahill, 27, has spent the entire season to date at Triple-A Colorado Springs as a member of the club's bullpen. In 24 relief appearances, Scahill has gone 1-1 with a 3.93 ERA (34.1 ip, 15 er), 11 walks and 30 strikeouts. This marks the third-straight season that the 6-foot-2 right-hander has appeared on the active roster. In 29 career Major League games, all with Colorado, Scahill is 1-0 with a 4.29 ERA (42.0 ip, 20 er), 12 walks and 24 strikeouts. The Winfield, IL native was originally selected by Colorado in the 8th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Bradley University.

Lopez, 30, has split his 2014 season between the Rockies and Triple-A Colorado Springs. In four games for the Rockies earlier in this season he had an 11.37 ERA (6.1 ip, 8 er). In 20 games for Triple-A Colorado Springs he has gone 0-2 with a 4.54 ERA (35.2 ip, 18 er). Over six seasons with the Houston Astros (2009-12) and Colorado Rockies (2013-14) he has appeared in 292 Major League games with two starts. He has gone 16-17 with 11 saves and a 3.54 ERA (305.1 ip, 120 er), 337 hits, 57 walks and 221 strikeouts.

The Rockies currently have 39 players on the 40-man roster.
