The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled outfielder Sam Hilliard and have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Rico Garcia from Triple-A Albuquerque. Garcia will wear number 46 and make his Major League debut by starting against the Boston Red Sox tonight. Hilliard will wear number 43.

Additionally, the Rockies have optioned left-handed pitcher Phillip Diehl and right-hander Joe Harvey to Triple-A and have transferred right-hander Chad Bettis to the 60-day injured list.

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
