Kid Host of the Game

We are looking for children between the ages of 8-14 years old who want to become our "Kid Host of the Game" presented by Belfonte! We're looking for one child for each Sunday home game to help host the Royals Countdown show with our two in-stadium emcees. They would help deliver content during this 30-45 minute show (e.g. give interviews, assist with contests, etc.).

If your child is outgoing and creative then this is a job for them! We're looking for youngsters who are comfortable in front of a crowd, can take direction, and more importantly love to have fun!

Interested parties must submit a video or a YouTube link along with the audition paperwork to KidHost@royals.com.

The video must be 2-3 minutes in length and cover the following topics:

  1. Welcome: Introduce yourself, how old you are, hometown, etc.
  2. Why Should You Be Selected: Tell us what makes you the right choice.
  3. Live Shot: "Live" reporting as if you were somewhere at Kauffman Stadium. Examples - where Sluggerrr and the KCrew are signing autographs or down on the field where the players are warming up, the options are endless! This is not meant to be an interview.
  4. Interview: Interview a family member or friend about why they love the Royals.
  5. Show Us What You Got: The remaining part of the video must be showing us why you should be our Kid Host. Think outside the box!
