Omaha dropped the series opener to Salt Lake. Mike Montgomery (6.0 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 SO) took his first loss of the year. He allowed all of his runs on a homer by Matt Long in the second. Cody Clark and Kevin Kouzmanoff each drove in a run for Omaha. Tony Abreu went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Wil Myers was 0-for-3 with a walk. He has reached base via a hit or a walk in 38 of his 40 games on the year.

NW Arkansas Naturals (24-20)

The Naturals lost a matinee to finish with a 1-3 mark at Arkansas. The Travelers plated pairs in the third, fifth and sixth. Ethan Hollingsworth allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over 4.2 IP. Northwest Arkansas scored all three runs in the ninth. Eric Duncan was 4-for-4 with a run scored. Carlo Testa added two hits and an RBI. Brian Poldberg's squad will enjoy an off day at home on Tuesday. They kick off a six-game homestand on Wednesday vs. Midland (Athletics).

Wilmington Blue Rocks (20-23)

HR: Juan Graterol (1)

Greg Billo and Leondy Perez combined on a two-hit shutout in the series opener. Billo limited Potomac to two hits and a walk while fanning 5 over 7.0 frames. Perez retired six straight to seal the win. Brian Fletcher recorded three hits, two RBI and a run. Juan Graterol was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. He hit a solo homer in the sixth. The blast was his second in 800 professional at-bats.

Kane County Cougars (23-22)

Wisconsin 7, Kane County 4
LP: Aaron Brooks (3-5)
HR: None

The Cougars were swept in a three-game set, with Wisconsin scoring seven runs in each contest. Aaron Brooks yielded four runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks while fanning seven over 6.0 innings. Michael Antonio was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. He has hit safely in seven straight games (.481, 13-for-27), raising his season average from .182 to .233 in that time.
