Omaha dropped the opener in New Mexico. Justin Marks had a rough Triple-A debut as he allowed two in the first and seven before being pulled with two outs in the second. Brandon Sisk followed with 3.1 scoreless innings. Wil Myers went 2-for-4 with a run and Clint Robinson hit a solo homer. Former All-Star Bobby Abreu was 4-for-4 with two runs for the Isotopes.

Northwest Arkansas won a pair of seven-inning games on the road. Yordano Ventura earned his first Double-A win in the opener as he held the Travelers to a run on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. Brian Fletcher was 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs. Kevin Kouzmanoff and Mario Lisson each drove in a pair. Noel Arguelles limited Arkansas to two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk over six innings in the nightcap. Paulo Orlando hit a two-run homer and finished with three runs scored.

Wilmington was off on Friday. The Blue Rocks host the Potomac Nationals tonight.

Kane County was swept in a three-game set at Davenport. The River Bandits moved ahead with two runs in the sixth off of Jason Mitchell (6.0 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO). They added a grand slam in the eighth. Chris Elder posted two doubles and a run for the Cougars. Justin Trapp added two hits, an RBI and a run. Kane County will wrap up the season at home against Peoria (Cubs).

Idaho Falls snapped a five-game losing streak in the finale at Ogden. Jerico Blanco recorded three hits, three RBI and three runs. Carlos Garcia finished 3-for-4 with a homer and four runs scored. Adalberto Mondesi posted three hits and three RBI while raising his average to .300.

Burlington advanced to the league championship series with a win over the Cardinals. Mark Threlkeld belted a two-run homer in the second. The Royals added an important insurance run in the fifth. Starter Daniel Hernandez (6.0 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 SO) took a shutout into the sixth. Burlington hosts Elizabethton (Twins) tonight.
