Ryan Verdugo's outstanding outing helped Omaha finish with a 3-1 mark at Nashville. Verdugo limited the Sounds to five hits without issuing a walk over 7.0 scoreless innings. Brett Hayes hit a pair of solo homers for the Storm Chasers. David Lough was a home run shy of the cycle, going 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs. The Storm Chasers are off today before starting a home set against the Iowa Cubs.

NW Arkansas Naturals (5-12)

NW Arkansas at Springfield - Postponed

Tuesday's game between Northwest Arkansas and Springfield was washed away. A doubleheader was scheduled to start at 11:09 Central this morning.

Wilmington dropped to 1-1 at Salem as the Red Sox built an early 8-0 lead. Aaron Brooks allowed eight runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. Antonio Cruz held Salem scoreless over the next 3.1 innings, scattering a hit and a walk. Cruz, acquired from Detroit as part of the Wilson Betemit trade in 2011, has a 0.69 ERA through 13.0 innings (1 ER). Geulin Beltre's single in the seventh plated Danny Mateo for the lone Wilmington run.

Lexington lost the opener as Asheville rallied with two in the seventh. Starter Bryan Brickhouse scattered two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.0 innings. Bubba Starling went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Adalberto Mondesi (2-for-3, double, RBI, run) extended his hitting streak to eight games (.387, 12-for-31).
