Omaha lost at home as Iowa scored six in the first off of Nate Adcock (0.2 IP, 2 H, 6 ER, 4 BB, 1 SO, 1 HR). The Storm Chasers allowed 10 walks, their highest total since 2008. Johnny Giavotella was 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs. He has hit safely in seven straight games (.464, 13-for-28). Irving Falu and Xavier Nady added two hits apiece.

NW Arkansas Naturals (7-13)

Northwest Arkansas earned a 2-2 series split behind a solid outing from Justin Marks (5.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 7 SO, 1 HR). Yem Prades started the scoring with a solo homer in the fourth. The Naturals added three in the fifth and Matt Fields provided a two-run homer in the eighth. Noel Arguelles is slated to start tonight's opener at Tulsa (Rockies).

Wilmington finished 1-3 at Salem as the Red Sox scored the final seven runs. Sean Coyle's leadoff homer in the seventh gave Salem a 4-3 lead. The Red Sox added three more runs in the frame. Cheslor Cuthbert posted two hits, an RBI and a run. Justin Trapp added two hits, a run and a stolen base.

Lexington Legends (8-13)

Lexington was swept at Asheville. Christian Binford pitched well in defeat, scattering two runs on six hits over 7.0 innings. Binford fanned eight without issuing a walk. Michael Antonio and Ethan Chapman recorded hits for the Legends. Chapman added two walks and a stolen base. Lexington hosts Augusta (Giants) tonight.
