Omaha dropped the first of four at New Orleans. The Zephyrs plated three in the first off of Nate Adcock (6.1 IP, 11 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 2 HR). New Orleans native Johnny Giavotella drove in all three Omaha runs. David Lough produced three hits for his eighth multi-hit effort in 10 contests. Lough has hit in 10 straight games at a .522 clip (24-for-46), boosting his season average to .365. Willy Taveras added three hits and two runs.

NW Arkansas Naturals (8-16)

Tulsa 8, Northwest Arkansas 2
LP: Sugar Ray Marimon (1-3)
HR: None

Northwest Arkansas finished 1-3 at Tulsa. Sugar Ray Marimon allowed eight runs (four earned) over 4.2 innings. Mitch Canham was 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a triple and a run scored. The Naturals return home tonight to face Springfield (Cardinals).

Wilmington Blue Rocks (9-15)

Wilmington lost game one as the Red Sox broke open a 1-1 game with a four-run third. Kyle Zimmer yielded five runs on six hits and two walks over 4.0 innings. Zimmer, last year's first-round pick, fanned five and has 34 K's through 22.2 innings (13.5 per 9.0 IP). Danny Mateo led the Blue Rocks with two hits and two RBI. Lane Adams was 1-for-3 with a triple, walk, two runs and a stolen base.

Lexington Legends (9-16)

HR: Bubba Starling (4)

The Legends were held to four hits in a home loss. Bubba Starling hit a two-run homer in the fifth. The 2011 first-rounder is 5-for-12 with two homers, six RBI and four runs over his last three games. Bryan Brickhouse turned in another solid start, scattering two runs on two hits and no walks over 7.0 innings.
