The Royals have come to terms with three of their top picks from the First-Year Player Draft.
Fourth-rounder Dawon Burt (shortstop, Fuquay-Varina High School), fifth-rounder Corey Ray (right-hander, Texas A&M) and sixth-rounder Logan Moon (outfielder, Missouri Southern) all penned contracts with Kansas City on Saturday.
The allotted bonus pools for the Royals' fourth-, fifth- and sixth-round picks are $420,000, $314,400 and $235,400, respectively.
Kansas City is free to award contracts that exceed or fall short of these assigned slots. However, if it exceeds the total bonus pool amount of $8,602,900, it'll be penalized based on how far it goes over.
