Perez feels sore shin in legging out double

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals had a few moments of concern about catcher Salvador Perez after he limped while running out a double in the second inning of Tuesday night's 6-5 loss to the Indians.

Trainer Nick Kenney and manager Ned Yost trotted out to check on Perez, but he was OK and finished the game.

"About five days ago, he fouled a ball off his shin, and the first inning he was blocking a curveball and it bounced up and hit that spot. It's a little sore," Yost said.
