Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City announce Spring Training TV schedule

The Kansas City Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City announced today that 10 exhibition games will be televised this season on the club's exclusive local television partner.

The Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City are entering the 11th season of an agreement in which FOX Sports Kansas City is the exclusive local television home of Royals baseball. FOX Sports Kansas City will broadcast 10 Spring Training games, as it has the past two years. Each of the 10 telecasts will also be streamed live on the FOX Sports GO app and at FOXSportsGO.com.

The Kansas City Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City announced today that 10 exhibition games will be televised this season on the club's exclusive local television partner.

The Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City are entering the 11th season of an agreement in which FOX Sports Kansas City is the exclusive local television home of Royals baseball. FOX Sports Kansas City will broadcast 10 Spring Training games, as it has the past two years. Each of the 10 telecasts will also be streamed live on the FOX Sports GO app and at FOXSportsGO.com.

Coverage of Royals baseball in 2018 kicks off with a telecast from Peoria, Ariz., on Friday, March 2, when the Royals face the San Diego Padres at 2 p.m. (CDT). Other road telecasts include Saturday, March 10 at Arizona (2 p.m. CDT); Sunday, March 18 at the Chicago Cubs (3 p.m. CT); Wednesday, March 21 at Cleveland (8 p.m. CT); and Thursday, March 22 at Milwaukee (3 p.m. CT).

FOX Sports Kansas City will also broadcast five games from the Royals' home complex in Surprise, Ariz.: Tuesday, March 6 vs. San Diego (7 p.m. CDT); Sunday, March 11 vs. Cleveland (3 p.m. CT); Monday, March 12 vs. Texas (8 p.m. CT); Saturday, March 17 vs. Texas (2 p.m. CT); and Tuesday, March 20 vs. San Francisco (8 p.m. CT).   

"We are thrilled organizationally that our partners at FOX Sports Kansas City are televising 10 exhibition games for a third straight spring," said Mike Swanson, Royals Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting. "Spring training baseball ignites everyone's enthusiasm for a new season and does so in a much more intimate setting that plays well on televisions throughout our region."

The schedule of FSKC TV broadcasts can be found on the next page. While seven of the telecasts will be exclusive FSKC productions, three others will be a shared feed with that day's opponent.

The FOX Sports Kansas City announcer team will continue to feature Ryan Lefebvre, Steve Physioc, Rex Hudler, Joel Goldberg and Jeff Montgomery. 

The 2018 regular-season schedule with FOX Sports Kansas City telecasts will be announced at a later date.
