The Royals will host various activities in conjunction with the 50th Season Celebration throughout the community, including the Step Up to the Plate food drive, Dayton Moore's Wiffle Ball at the Hallow event, Badges for Baseball youth clinic, Library Night and several others through a busy homestand.

KANSAS CITY, MO (July 20, 2018) -- The Royals will host various activities in conjunction with the 50th Season Celebration throughout the community, including the Step Up to the Plate food drive, Dayton Moore's Wiffle Ball at the Hallow event, Badges for Baseball youth clinic, Library Night and several others through a busy homestand.

Friday, July 20 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
• KCP&L VIP Kids - The Royals and KCP&L will host foster care children and their families to select games throughout the season. Each child from Cornerstones of Care will receive complimentary tickets, a special t-shirt and a free meal courtesy of ARAMARK and Papa John's Pizza. The special guests will also participate in a meet-and-greet with a Royals player in the Royals Interview Room at approx. 5:30 p.m.
• Royals Visit Harvesters - Several members of the Royals Front Office and Price Chopper will volunteer at Harvesters - The Community Food Network for the "Step Up to the Plate" food drive. Former Royals infielder Billy Butler and FOX Sports Kansas City Broadcaster Joel Goldberg are scheduled to appear at 2 p.m. The Royals have partnered with Harvesters and Price Chopper to hold a friendly competition with the Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank and the Minnesota Twins. • Canstruction Display Revealed - Populous, a global architecture and design firm, designed and built a Canstruction display created with food from Price Chopper. The structure, highlighting the 50th Season of Royals Baseball, was created in conjunction with the Step Up to the Plate food drive and will be on display throughout the homestand.
• 50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson - A portion of the proceeds from the nightly Royals Charities fundraiser will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. The organization will also distribute information outside the Royals Charities headquarters. www.royals.com/5050.
Saturday, July 21 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
• Wiffle Ball at the Hallow - The "C" You In The Major Leagues Foundation, founded by Royals General Manager Dayton Moore, is hosting the 2nd Annual Wiffle Ball at the Hollow event. The adult wiffle ball game and luncheon take place at a specially designed field located in the front yard of a home located at 239 W 52nd Street in Kansas City, Mo. Hall of Fame third baseman George Brett, Broadcaster Denny Matthews and Royals 50th Season weekend alumni participants Steve Busby, Billy Butler, Cookie Rojas and others are scheduled to make an appearances throughout the event. • Step Up to the Plate - The Royals, Harvesters and Price Chopper are teaming up against the Minnesota Twins and Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank to fight hunger. Before this game, the Royals will host a food drive at Gate B where fans can drop off non-perishable food items or donate $5 at the Price Chopper Tent to load a sack of food into the Harvester's truck. Inside the stadium, fans can visit the Royals Charities Headquarters to make a donation for a chance to win Royals prizes and photos autographed by Royals players, while supplies last. The competition started July 2 and will conclude July 25. Fans are also encouraged to visit royals.com/stepuptotheplate to make a donation and see other ways to help.
• On-Field Check Presentation - Overhead Door of Kansas City will join Royals Charities in presenting a check during pre-game ceremonies to Harvesters for $25,000 toward the Step Up to the Plate efforts to fight hunger in Kansas City.
• Kennedys to host Group from USO-Fort Riley, KS - Each Saturday, pitcher Ian Kennedy and his wife, Allison, will host a group from the Kansas City area in a fully-catered Dugout Suite. This day, guests from USO-Fort Riley, KS will meet Kennedy prior to the game and receive a special gift from the family.
Sunday, July 22 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.
• 50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson - A portion of the proceeds from the daily Royals Charities fundraiser will benefit The ALS Association Mid-America Chapter. The organization will also distribute information outside the Royals Charities headquarters. www.royals.com/5050.
Monday, July 23 - Detroit Tigers vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
• Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation Badges for Baseball - The Royals, Kansas City, Mo., Police Department and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation are set to host a clinic for more than 100 youth at the Urban Youth Academy from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Participants will learn life skills through baseball while building positive connections with their coaches for the day from KCPD. The participants will then attend the Royals game that evening.
• Kansas RBI Night - The Royals will host participants from the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) of Kansas for a special night at Kauffman Stadium. The kids will receive complimentary tickets and food. Royals Charities will also award a grant for $25,000 during a pregame presentation to Kansas RBI.
• State Farm Volunteer Activity - Royals fans can assemble back to school packs for Community Services League by visiting the State Farm tent inside Gate D. State Farm will distribute co-branded drawstring bags to the first 200 fans who volunteer to assemble single subject spiral notebooks, colored pencils, and highlighter markers into back to school packs.
Tuesday, July 24 - Detroit Tigers vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
• Library Night - Six metropolitan library systems are teaming up to bring the library to The K! The evening will include displays from area libraries and recognition in the Buck O'Neil Legacy Seat. A portion of every ticket purchased through the program will benefit the library systems' summer learning program, which provides young people the opportunity to build reading skills and earn books and other prizes. The Royals have teamed up with area libraries to encourage reading year-round as well.
• Royals Honors presented by Konica Minolta - The Royals Honors program, presented by Konica Minolta, recognizes more than 5,000 area elementary school children who are committed to citizenship, academics, and attendance throughout the school year. These dedicated students will be honored at one of two Royals Honors Day (June 20 and July 24). The Royals and Konica Minolta salute the Royals Honors students with complimentary tickets.
• Dream Factory - Throughout the season, the Royals grant the wishes of Dream Factory children. These youngsters, who face life-altering challenges, will meet Royals players, watch batting practice from the dugout and enjoy the game and refreshments. Their Royals experience appears on the KMBC-TV (Channel 9) 10 p.m. newscast.
