Omaha Storm Chasers (45-54)

Omaha dropped to 1-1 in New Mexico. The Isotopes scored all four runs off of Justin Marks (2.1 IP). Maikel Cleto stranded three inherited runners en route to 3.2 scoreless innings. Christian Colon recorded two hits including a solo home run in the seventh. Yordano Ventura starts tonight for Omaha in his first appearance since last Sunday's Futures Game.

NW Arkansas Naturals (15-13 2nd half, 40-58 overall)

Northwest Arkansas moved into a tie for first place in the second-half division standings. Roman Hernandez posted three hits and three RBI for the Naturals. Matt Fields added his league-leading 26th home run. Aaron Brooks scattered four runs (three earned) on 13 hits and two walks over 6.0 innings. 2012 first-round pick Kyle Zimmer is scheduled to make his Double-A debut tonight.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (14-13 2nd half, 47-50 overall)

Myrtle Beach 10, Wilmington 6

HR: Justin Trapp (6)

Wilmington dropped to 0-3 at Myrtle Beach. Justin Trapp led off the game with his sixth home run of 2013. Jared Schlehuber continued his hot hitting with a single, a double, two RBI and a run. He's batting .369 (24-for-65) in July. Alex McClure added three hits and a run. Leonel Santiago allowed seven runs (four earned), seven hits and two walks over 3.0 innings plus five batters.

Lexington Legends (17-9 2nd half, 50-44 overall)

Lexington 3, Rome 2

HR: Raul Mondesi (6)

Lexington swept a three-game set at Rome, the club's fifth straight win overall. Raul Mondesi, who turns 18 next Saturday, hit a two-run homer in the first. Greg Billo fired 5.0 shutout frames in his first outing with the Legends. He's recovering from "Tommy John" surgery.

Idaho Falls Chukars (12-16) Helena 7, Idaho Falls 6
LP: Jake Junis (0-2)
HR: None

Idaho Falls lost a back-and-forth game, finishing 1-2 vs. Helena. Frank Schwindel recorded three hits and an RBI, boosting his average to .354 (29-for-82). Starter Jake Junis allowed seven runs (six earned) over 6.0 innings. Glenn Sparkman tossed 3.0 shutout stanzas in relief.

Burlington Royals (12-15)

Burlington played two for a second straight day, losing both games to Bluefield. The Blue Jays won game one on a three-run walk-off homer. The Royals jumped out to 4-0 lead, with Tyler Chism hitting a three-run homer in the first. Michael Mercurio added a solo shot in the fourth. Burlington scored twice in the second inning of game two, including a solo home by Sam Bates. Cesar Ogando carried a shutout into the fifth before allowing five runs.

Surprise Royals (9-15)

20-year old Carlos Herrera tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in his second appearance in the U.S. Herrera opened 2013 with the Dominican Royals, compiling a 4-1 mark and a 1.13 ERA over 32.0 innings. Brawlun Gomez and Alfredo Patino had three hits and two RBI apiece.
