The Storm Chasers have now dropped three straight for the first time this season. Smith allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings to take his second loss. Second baseman Johnny Giavotella continued his hot hitting with two more knocks in four at-bats, including a double. Shortstop Tony Abreu also added a pair of hits. Box score

Springfield plated six in the first inning and cruised to the series-opening win. Arguelles was charged with six runs in two-thirds of an inning. Outfielder Wil Myers has now hit in eight straight, as he was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Colon homered and drove in two, raising his season mark to .292. Lisson hit a three-run homer for the second straight day. Box score

Wilmington won a second straight over Salem. Geulin Beltre led the attack with four hits, including a double. He is 7-for-9 over the past two games after starting the year in a 9-for-67 slump. Cheslor Cuthbert recorded two hits, three RBIs and two runs while Brian Fletcher had two hits, two RBIs and a run. The Rocks stole four bases in the win. Marimon allowed three runs in six innings, striking out seven, for his second win. Box score
