A pair of the PCL's top teams tangled in Fresno, with the Grizzlies knotting the series at a game apiece. Louis Coleman made the spot start, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over 2.0 innings. Sean O'Sullivan worked the next 5.0 frames, yielding five runs on nine hits and two walks. Derrick Robinson recorded two hits, upping his average to .331 (40-for-121). Ryan Verdugo (3-0, 2.82 ERA) is scheduled to face his former organization on Monday night.

NW Arkansas Naturals (19-17)

Sharlon Schoop's solo homer in the eighth broke a 5-5 tie, lifting Northwest Arkansas to a 3-1 series win vs. Springfield. Wil Myers made his first professional start at third base before moving to center field in the third inning. Myers finished 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored while boosting his league-leading batting average to .344 (43-for-125). The Naturals employed five pitchers on the day, with Andrew Dobies yielding a pair of walks in 3.0 scoreless innings of relief.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (15-20)

Wilmington rallied late before falling short in a bid for a sweep. The Blue Rocks hit three home runs, accounting for all five tallies. Brian Fletcher delivered a two-run homer in the first. Frederick scored the next six runs. Geulin Beltre hit a solo shot in the eighth, and Travis Jones brought the Rocks to within 6-5 with a two-run blast in the ninth. Starter Tyler Sample (3.0 IP+3, 7 H, 4 ER) allowed a pair of solo homers.

The Cougars held on to win at home. Edwin Carl limited the Timber Rattlers to a pair of runs on seven hits and a walk over 6.0 innings. His ERA rose slightly to 1.87 (9 ER in 43.1 IP). Lane Adams hit a two-run homer while Jorge Bonifacio was 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBIs and a run.
