Omaha Storm Chasers (70-74)

A win and a Memphis loss earned the Storm Chasers a third straight division title. Carlos Pena was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBI. Christian Colon continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and three runs. He batted .335 (56-for-167) after the All-Star break. John Lamb (5.0 IP+2, 4 H, 4 ER) picked up his first Triple-A win. Omaha starts the playoffs on Wednesday at Oklahoma City.

NW Arkansas Naturals (34-36 2nd half, 59-81 overall)

LP: Aaron Brooks (7-7 with NW Arkansas, 9-10 overall)

The Naturals were held to four hits in the season finale at Arkansas. Brett Eibner was 2-for-4 with a double. The 2010 second-round pick batted .262 in the second half after posting a .221 average before the All-Star break. Orlando Calixte and Mitch Canham added singles. Starter Aaron Brooks allowed five runs, seven hits and a walk over 5.0 innings.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (30-40 2nd half, 63-77 overall)

Winston-Salem 5, Wilmington 4 (10 innings)

Wilmington missed a chance to end 2013 with a three-game sweep as Winston-Salem scored on a wild pitch in the 10th. Jack Lopez recorded a two-run single as Wilmington plated three in the second. Sam Bates and Micah Gibbs posted two hits apiece for the Blue Rocks. Starter Angel Baez fanned seven while allowing four runs, seven hits and a walk over 5.0 innings. Kellen Moen followed with 3.0 scoreless innings.

Lexington Legends (35-35 2nd half, 68-70 overall)

West Virginia 5, Lexington 3
LP: Daniel Stumpf (10-10)
HR: None

The Legends were swept in the final series of 2013. Daniel Stumpf allowed three runs (two earned), two hits and four walks over 4.0 innings. Aroni Nina and Clayton Schulz worked 2.0 scoreless innings apiece. Fred Ford doubled home a pair of runs. Mark Threlkeld reached four times, finishing 2-for-3 with two walks and a run.

Idaho Falls Chukars (19-13 2nd half, 38-32 overall)

Idaho Falls 9, Orem 6
WP: Matt Tenuta (1-0 with Idaho Falls, 3-4 overall)
SV: Glenn Sparkman (2)
HR: Daniel Rockett (11)

The Chukars moved to 1-1 in a four-game set at Orem. Daniel Rockett had four RBI, including a three-run homer in the fourth. Humberto Arteaga was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs. He's second in the league with 55 RBI. Matt Tenuta (5.0 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO) notched the win.
