Royals recall LHP Danny Duffy from Omaha; option Johnny Giavotella

The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have recalled left-handed pitcher Danny Duffy from Triple-A Omaha. Duffy will be in uniform for this afternoon's game against the Minnesota Twins at 1:10 p.m.

In a corresponding roster move, the Royals optioned second baseman Johnny Giavotella back to Omaha. Giavotella was recalled on Wednesday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI in KC's 7-3 win over the Rays that day.
