Royals and KSHB-TV partner on School Day at The K

September 28th, 2019

KANSAS CITY -- The Kansas City Royals and local broadcast station KSHB-TV announced today a partnership through 2022, including the popular School Day at The K starting next season.

“We are excited to once again be the Official Meteorologists for the Royals and share School Day with so many kids in the community,” said KSHB Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak. “This is a great educational event and we hope to make it bigger and better than ever.”

The station’s meteorology team will host “KSHB School Day at The K” on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, when local schools come to Kauffman Stadium for a presentation of weather and science experiments on the field the morning of the day game against the Houston Astros. Prior to the day, the weather team will visit some of the schools that will be attending School Day at The K. As the Official Meteorologists of the Royals, the team will also have an in-game weather report feature on CrownVision during each home game.
