Kauffman Stadium COVID-19 Guidelines

WHAT WE ARE DOING.

HELPING EVERYONE KEEP THEIR DISTANCE

  • Reduced stadium capacity will allow for social distancing throughout the ballpark 
  • The Royals Hall of Fame and Outfield Experience activities are currently closed
  • Social distancing signage and ground markings are installed inside and outside of The K to help fans navigate areas while practicing social distancing
  • Event staff will be trained to engage with fans and promote physical distancing guidelines in common areas and queues

OUR TEAM OFF THE FIELD 

  • All employees at Kauffman Stadium are required to wear a face mask at all times 
  • Employees will complete a required verbal daily health and wellbeing self-certification survey while also completing a required temperature screening
  • Staff members will be directed to routinely wash their hands with soap and water as the preferred hygiene method, but will use hand sanitizer when unavailable
  • Staff members will be directed to socially distance at all times when it is practical in connection with the conduct of their duties

ENHANCED CLEANING

  • Cleaning procedures will be enhanced throughout Kauffman Stadium, including high traffic areas, elevators and escalators, handrails, benches, tables, handles, restrooms and more.

HAND SANITIZER

  • Hand sanitizer will be made available at various locations throughout the stadium

REDUCED CONTACT

  • Mobile Ticketing/Parking is required.
  • NO DAY OF GAME BOX OFFICE SALES. All tickets and parking must be purchased in advance. For more information and to purchase tickets visit royals.com/tickets. To purchase parking visit, royals.com/parking.
  • No printed tickets - all tickets are accessible in the MLB Ballpark app
  • Cashless transactions are required, including debit cards, credit cards, gift cards or mobile wallets. Reverse ATMs will be available inside the ballpark if needed
  • Mobile Ordering options are available through the MLB Ballpark app

RETAIL

  • Cashless transactions are required, including debit cards, credit cards, gift cards or mobile wallets. Reverse ATMs will be available inside the ballpark if needed.
  • Enhanced social distancing efforts to reduce guest contact including:
    • Usage of every other register
    • New store layouts
    • Limited number of guests in the store at a given time
    • Floor markers to keep guests distanced
    • Hand sanitizer available at all retail locations

CONCESSIONS/RESTAURANTS

  • Cashless transactions are required, including debit cards, credit cards, gift cards or mobile wallets. Reverse ATMs will be available inside the ballpark if needed
  • There will be a variety of limited contact and contactless concession experiences available, including "Grab N' Go's," self-checkout, mobile order pickup and kiosk ordering stands throughout the stadium
  • All beverages will be offered with lids or caps and refills will not be offered
  • Pre-packaged condiments will be available at stands versus community condiment carts
  • Includes a reduction in menu offerings to enable speed of service and limit contact
  • All menus in restaurants will be available via QR Code. Paper menus will be available upon request only
  • In-Seat Vending will be temporally suspended
  • Socially distanced queuing
  • Masks required for all staff
  • Increased frequency and depth of sanitization protocols
  • Hand sanitizer available at all stands
