1995: Ready or not

Wagner appeared in one game in 1995 but secured the closer role for the Astros in 1997. He holds the all-time club record in saves (225) and BAA (.186)

1999: Utter Dominance

After posting an absurd 1.57 ERA and collecting 39 saves, Wagner was named Relief Man of the Year. He had 124 strikeouts to only 35 hits allowed and was named to his 1st All-Star team

June 11, 2003: No-no-no-no!

Wagner put the finishing touches on a combined no-no against the Yankees, the first thrown against the Bronx Bombers in 45 years

2006: Anchor

Wagner secured his 300th save with the Mets and helped propel them to their 1st division title in 18 years

All-Star Career

Wagner was named to 7 All-Star teams in his career and finished with MVP votes twice. He also finished in the top 10 in Cy Young voting twice, a rarity for a reliever

Wagner's 400th saved put him in elite company, and his 422 saves rank 8th all-time. His 1,196 strikeouts rank 7th-best among relievers
