When are the games, and how can I watch?
Games will be held March 14-17 across the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues, with the majority available on MLB.com, MLB Network or regional sports networks
7-inning games
If they are not part of a DH with a Major League Spring Training game, both teams can agree to play 9 frames; there are no extras, so games can end in a tie
ABS Challenge System
Challenges will be in effect for games played in 5 venues, with each team able to challenge at least 3 ball-strike calls
3-batter minimum
There will be no minimum for pitchers upon entry into the game, allowing clubs to feature as many arms as possible in the showcase format
Player re-entry
The "Ohtani rule." If a pitcher is taken out of a Spring Breakout game, he may come back in later. (This only counts for pitchers, not position players unless an injury requires a substitution.)
Anything else?
The games will use a pitch timer, PitchCom communication is allowed between pitcher and catcher, and all clubs will be limited to 7 mound visits per game.
How can I get tickets?
Click through for links to all available Spring Breakout tickets via the event's homepage
Does anything else come with my ticket?
Some attendees will get a free pack of trading cards featuring Spring Breakout players
Do I need a separate ticket for DH games?
No, clubs hosting twin bills with a regular Spring Training game allow fans to attend both contests with a single ticket
What are the best matchups?
The Bucs-O's opener features 2 of only 5 farm systems with 5 or more prospects in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 -- also, '22 No. 1 overall pick Jackson Holliday could face '23 No. 1 overall pick Paul Skenes
