2018 Clinched Highlights

The 162-game grind of MLB's regular season may have ended this weekend, but baseball's exciting second act is just beginning as postseason games are set to kick off this week. The 10 teams that qualified for October baseball fought all season long for the chance to pop champagne and set their sights bringing home the World Series title. These teams -- the Dodgers, Rockies, Cubs, Brewers, Astros, A's, Yankees, Braves, Red Sox and Indians -- all basked in the glory of their regular-season accomplishments at some point in September, whether it was Boston's locker-room extravaganza within the first two weeks of the month or Los Angeles celebrating their sixth consecutive trip to the postseason after game 161. These festivities aren't just celebrations of each team's accomplishments from March to September -- although the American League set a record with a trio of 100-win teams, and we saw an all-time high number of walk-off home runs this season -- they're also a way to reset the clubs' goals and refocus their attention on the most important month of the year. In fact, some of these parties last just a few minutes, giving players enough time to take a breather from their hard work before turning around and preparing for one final push towards glory. Rockies manager Bud Black summed it up perfectly. "This is not done yet," he said in the middle of the festivities. "Our guys are aware what's going on." So put your goggles on and let the bubbly fly as you flip through these adrenaline-filled clinching celebrations, but remember that we're just getting started.
