Tigers Winter Caravan

The 2019 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan in partnership with Visit Central Florida and FOX Sports Detroit, is set for Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25, and features an exciting lineup of stops throughout the state of Michigan. Group President of Sports and Entertainment, Ilitch Holdings Inc. Chris Granger, Tigers Executive Vice President, Baseball Operations and General Manager Al Avila, Executive Vice President, Business Operations Duane McLean, Vice President, Assistant General Manager David Chadd, Special Assistant to the General Manager Alan Trammell, Manager Ron Gardenhire, coaches, players, broadcasters, and Detroit's favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

  • Q&A with Detroit Tigers players and coaches.
  • Detroit Tigers players will play an interactive game with members of the audience.

Detroit VA Medical Center/ Fisher House

  • Fisher House has provided a "Home Away from Home" for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA centers.
  • Tigers personnel will present a $10,000 donation to assist with bringing Fisher House to Michigan in 2020.
  • Additionally, in honor of the Detroit VA Medical Center's 80 years of serving veterans, Tigers personnel will present a framed jersey.

Michigan Veterans Foundation

  • In celebration of their 30th anniversary, the Tigers are presenting the Michigan Veterans Foundation with a framed jersey and a check donation of $5,000. There will be a short Q&A and raffle prize giveaways.

Novi Police Department/Novi Civic Center (Community Rally OPEN TO PUBLIC)

  • Tigers Caravan visits the city of Novi to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Tigers players will dine and meet with Novi Police prior to a community rally at the Civic Center.
  • Tigers players will participate in a Q&A, present a framed jersey to the city of Novi, and interact with fans for raffle prize giveaways at the community rally.
  • The community rally held at the Novi Civic Center is open to the public.

Kids Rally at Novi High School (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

  • An interactive and high energy event designed exclusively for young Tigers fans and families. Guests will enjoy face painting, raffle prizes, balloon twists, giveaways and more.
  • Prior to the event, Tigers players will participate in a private meet and greet with select members of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club, the softball and baseball teams from Novi and Northville High School and special guests from the Detroit Tigers Dreams Come True program

National Coney Island (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

  • Tigers players to act as celebrity servers at National Coney Island.
  • Fans in attendance have the opportunity to register to win a pair of Opening Day Tickets courtesy of 97.1 the Ticket.

  • Tigers players and coaches will participate in an energetic rally in the joint dining hall and will welcome home members of the 107th Fighter Squadron as they return from Exercise Emerald Warrior.
  • Players will participate in a private simulation exercise prior to the rally.

  • The Michigan Humane Society will offer free adoptions throughout the day
  • Tigers players will help guests select their new favorite pet.

Arab-American National Museum

  • The Arab-American National Museum and Detroit Tigers will announce their 2019 ticket package partnership.
  • Upon arrival, Tigers personnel will meet and greet with VIP guests from the Arab-American National Museum, including dignitaries and political leaders from the local community.
  • Tigers personnel will present a Mikie Mahtook game worn jersey from Opening Day in 2018 to add to the exhibit collection.

  • To celebrate the firehouse's 110th Anniversary, Tigers personnel will present a framed jersey.
  • PepsiCo will announce a donation of a year supply of assorted beverages for the firehouse.

  • Tigers personnel will participate in an exciting rally with DTE employees, including a Q&A segment and raffle giveaways

  • Tigers players will visit children (outpatients) in the lobby of Children's Hospital of Michigan and give gifts to 300 inpatients as they visit select patient rooms.

  • Tigers players will have a meet and greet reception with Fox Sports Detroit sponsors and clients.

  • Tigers personnel will make an appearance at the annual Snowfest in Frankenmuth, MI.
  • Tigers players will present two jerseys; Michigan Heroes Museum and Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. Tigers players will also recognize on-line contest winners.
