Tigers Winter Caravan

The 2018 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan, in partnership with Visit Central Florida and FOX Sports Detroit, rolled through Michigan on Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26. Group President of Sports and Entertainment, Ilitch Holdings Chris Granger, Tigers Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Al Avila, Executive Vice President of Business Operations Duane McLean, Vice President and Assistant General Manager David Chadd, Special Assistant to the General Manager Alan Trammell, Manager Ron Gardenhire, coaches, players, broadcasters and Detroit's favorite mascot PAWS, took part in the journey across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages. The 2018 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan, in partnership with Visit Central Florida and FOX Sports Detroit, is set for Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26, featuring an exciting lineup of stops throughout the state of Michigan. Group President of Sports and Entertainment, Ilitch Holdings Chris Granger, Tigers Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Al Avila, Executive Vice President of Business Operations Duane McLean, Vice President and Assistant General Manager David Chadd, Special Assistant to the General Manager Alan Trammell, Manager Ron Gardenhire, coaches, players, broadcasters and Detroit's favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

  • Q&A with Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire, Ramon Santiago, Mikie Mahtook and Dave Littlefield.
  • Detroit Tigers will play "Heads Up!" with the audience.

  • Players and coaches from the Detroit Tigers to present a jersey honoring Judge Damon Keith for his 50 years of judicial service and community; private meet and greet in chambers.

  • Detroit Tigers to present a jersey recognizing the important contributions of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Detroit in protecting the citizens of the United States.
  • Players will join members of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Detroit for a tour of the command center
  • Exciting program will include a round table discussion and a Gumby suit up challenge.

  • Jersey presentation recognizing 50 years of Focus: HOPE and their important contributions to the community in the aftermath of the 1967 Detroit riots.

  • In celebration of their 75th Anniversary, Detroit Tigers personnel will have dinner with the Southfield Fire Department.
  • The program includes a jersey and autographed helmet presentation, interactive contests, and a Resistance Interactive Trainer (RIT) demonstration. BELFOR Property Restoration will make a special presentation as well.

  • An interactive and high energy event designed exclusively for young Tigers fans. Guests will enjoy face painting, raffle prizes, balloon twists, giveaways and more.
  • Prior to the event, Tigers players will participate in a private meet and greet with select members of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club, the softball and baseball teams from Seaholm and Groves High schools and special guests from the Detroit Tigers Dreams Come True program.
