Summer Baseball Bash

More than a dozen former Tigers will be at the ballpark to sign autographs and take photos with fans from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. Autographs and photos are limited, so be sure to arrive when gates open! Tigers alumni scheduled to appear (but subject to change) include:

  • Mickey Lolich, Tom Matchick, Jon Warden - 1968 World Series Champions
  • Steve Kemp - 1979 American League All-Star
  • Juan Berenguer, Howard Johnson, Lance Parrish, Dan Petry, Dave Rozema - 1984 World Series Champions
  • Jim Leyland - 2006 and 2012 American League Championship Manager
  • Craig Monroe - 2006 American League Champion
  • Phil Coke, Andy Dirks, Doug Fister - 2012 American League Champions

You never know who you might see at the ballpark, and this Saturday is no different. We’ll be joined by several Detroit sports celebrities! Scheduled attendees include:

  • Detroit Red Wings - Jeff Blashill, Mickey Redmond, Kris Draper
  • Detroit Pistons - Dwayne Casey, Isaiah Stewart
  • Detroit Lions - Jack Fox, Romeo Okwara
  • Detroit City FC - Elisa Baeron, Megan Miles, Connor Rutz, Javi Steinwascher

4:30 PM Gates open. First 10,000 fans receive a Detroit Roots t-shirt, courtesy of DTE Energy

4:30 - 5:30 PM 14 former Tigers players and coaches sign autographs and post for photos with fans on the Comerica Park Concourse (near Section 125, Section 140, and Brushfire Grill).

5:45 PM Pregame On-field Ceremony featuring Tigers alumni and hundreds of frontline and essential workers honored for their efforts during the pandemic.

6:10 PM Twins vs. Tigers

*The Pregame Q&A session with select alumni/coaches has been cancelled.


Know Before You Go:

Detroit’s Summer Baseball Bash will be game two (6:10 PM start time) of a split doubleheader on July 17 and will be seven innings.

Please be reminded that for the safety of all fans, purses and bags are no longer permitted inside Comerica Park. Exceptions to this policy include bags needed for medical necessities, including diaper bags, breast pumps and other medical devices. Medical bags must measure smaller than 16" x 16" x 8". Guests with medical bags should utilize the designated ADA lane at each gate. Single compartment wallets smaller than 5” x 7” x 1.5”, with or without a handle or strap, are permitted.

Unauthorized bags/purses may be inspected and secured at our bag claim area, located at the D Garage on Montcalm and Witherell. There is currently no fee for the bag claim, however, guests must pick-up their bags/purses no later than 30 minutes after the game.

Please note that all purchases at the ballpark are cashless. Several reverse ATMs are available on the concourse to exchange cash for a gift card.
