Mauer, Cruz signing sessions new to TwinsFest

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund today announced additional plans for all three days of TwinsFest 2019 presented by Kwik Trip. Held at Target Field from Friday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 27, TwinsFest presented by Kwik Trip provides fans with exclusive and intimate baseball experiences throughout the course of the weekend.
On Friday, join the Minnesota Twins in congratulating franchise icon Joe Mauer on his recent retirement. The 2009 American League Most Valuable Player, six-time A.L. All-Star, five-time Silver Slugger Award winner and three-time Gold Glove Award recipient, who spent his entire 15-year major league career with Minnesota, is the only catcher in baseball history to win three league batting titles. The Saint Paul native, who will have his uniform number 7 retired by the Twins on June 15, will be available for a limited time during TwinsFest. Mauer will participate in autograph sessions on Friday and Saturday, as well as a photo session on Friday evening. Fans will also have the opportunity to bid online for a white glove archive tour with Joe and Twins curator, Clyde Doepner, beginning January 14 at twinsbaseball.com/MauerWGAT.
New at TwinsFest, fans can test their skills in Twins-branded street curling. On Friday only, meet Olympic Curling Gold Medalist John Shuster as he teaches Twins players and fans the art of curling in the new Play. Create. Compete. area presented by Pentair.
Hosted in Bat & Barrel, the TwinsFest Taproom presented by Goose Island is back. Featuring a selection of craft beers and delicious food, the TwinsFest Taproom is the perfect place for friends and families to connect. Here you can also compete against Twins players on the FOX Sports North Stage in new games including Pictionary, Epic or Fail, and Headbandz. Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in the first-ever Bubblegum Wall. With the purchase of a bucket of bubblegum, they can win prizes ranging from autographed baseballs, game tickets and a chance to watch a Twins game from CATCH.
Fans will also be able to test their skills with golf professionals at the Topgolf simulator. In addition, located in the Twins clubhouse, the Digital Clubhouse presented by U.S. Bank will feature a new photo opportunity that captures fans in a unique, 180-degree Experiential Photo Op presented by Securian Financial.
Back by popular demand, Brunch with T.C. will also be returning for its third year on Sunday only.
Exclusively on Sunday, fans will have the opportunity to meet and participate in two autograph sessions with new Twins designated hitter . The Dominican Republic native, who leads the majors with 203 home runs since 2014, has been named to the A.L. All-Star team six times in his career, including in five of the last six seasons.
Fans attending TwinsFest can also purchase tickets for all Twins 2019 Spring Training games at Hammond Stadium and regular season contests at Target Field.
TwinsFest presented by Kwik Trip runs Friday, Jan. 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will include more than 40 current, former and future Twins players and coaches throughout the weekend.
