Twins place Danny Santana on the disabled list

Right-Handed Pitcher Yohan Pino Recalled from Triple-A

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed infielder/outfielder Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list with a bone bruise in his left knee. He suffered the injury running the bases in the third inning of Wednesday's game vs. the Angels.

To take the place of Santana on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Yohan Pino from Triple-A Rochester. Pino, who is scheduled to start for the Twins on Monday, has made two starts for the Twins this season posting a 6.30 ERA (10.0 IP, 7 ER). He made his major league debut on June 19 vs. the White Sox pitching 7.0 innings allowing two runs on five hits.
