Twins recall Parmelee

Outright Jeff Gray to Triple-A Rochester

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled infielder/outfielder Chris Parmelee from Triple-A Rochester.  In his three previous stints with the Twins this season, Parmelee appeared in 40 games going 22-for-108 (.204) with five doubles, two home runs and six rbi.  In 64 games at Triple-A Rochester this season, Parmelee hit .338 (77-for-228) with 17 doubles, 17 home runs and 49 rbi.  The former first round draft pick will be in uniform tonight when the Twins play the Mariners at Target Field.  

To make room for Parmelee on the 25-man roster, the Twins outrighted right-handed pitcher Jeff Gray to Triple-A Rochester.  Gray appeared in 49 games with the Twins this season going 6-1 with a 5.71 ERA (52.0 ip, 33 er).
