MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Derek Law from Triple-A St. Paul and optioned right-handed pitcher Cody Stashak to Triple-A St. Paul.

Law made one scoreless relief appearance for the Saints, allowing one hit and one walk, with two strikeouts, on May 6 in Omaha. The 30-year-old did not allow a run in eight spring training games for the Twins earlier this year, striking out 13 batters in 8.0 innings while permitting just three hits and three walks. He will wear uniform number 54.

To make room for Law on the 40-man roster, the Twins have designated infielder Travis Blankenhorn for release or assignment. Blankenhorn played in one game for the Twins this season, on April 21 in Oakland, and scored a run.
