Vice President, Workplace Diversity & Inclusion
Raenell Dorn, who begins her 47th season with the Twins in 2020, was named to her current role in January of 2019 after 20 seasons as Vice President of Human Resources and Diversity. Raenell helps drive the vision and direction of the club’s workforce diversity strategy, collaborating with the senior leadership team, club employees and members of the community to advance diversity and inclusion.
Dorn helps lead the development of a comprehensive strategic workforce diversity plan for the organization, identifying accountability and ensuring plan initiatives are prioritized, operationalized and continuously assessed. In addition, Raenell partners with Major League Baseball’s broader diversity and inclusion outreach efforts and also serves on the board of Crescent Cove.
She established a Sports Career Fair held toward the end of each season, which offers participants access to many sports teams and sports divisions of the Twins’ media partners. Dorn is the liaison to the Twins Wives Organization and leads the group’s efforts in both fundraising and in-kind giving.
Dorn was named Industry Leader and received the Women in Business award in 2008 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
She was born in New Prague, MN, and graduated from Metropolitan State (MN) University with a degree in Business Administration. Raenell resides in Eden Prairie, MN, with her husband, Harvey. They have two grown children, Bryan and Christopher.
