Orioles: Adley Rutschman, C (MLB No. 1), Triple-A Norfolk
It’s been an impressive introduction to Triple-A for Rutschman, who belted his first homer since his promotion to Norfolk on Aug. 10. The 22-year-old scored twice and added two singles for his second three-hit contest in four games, pushing his slash line with the Tides to .440/.462/.640. Rutschman is batting .284/.397/.519 with 37 extra-base hits, 19 home runs and 61 RBIs in 86 games with Double-A Bowie and Norfolk. Orioles prospect stats »

Marlins: JJ Bleday, OF (MLB No. 77), Double-A Pensacola
Bleday capped off a 3-for-5 day with a walk-off double in the 13th inning of Pensacola’s 4-3 win. Though that was the only run he drove in, he scored one run, walked once and doubled twice in his second three-hit game of the year. It’s his second game of the season with two doubles and his fifth with multiple extra-base hits. The Marlins’ No. 5 prospect has heated up recently, slashing .306/.422/.667 in his past 10 games with two homers, five doubles, eight walks and 10 RBIs. Marlins prospect stats »

Blue Jays: Jordan Groshans, SS (MLB No. 61), Double-A New Hampshire
Groshans went deep for the first time since June 25 and added a double for his second consecutive multihit game following a 1-for-18 stretch. His sixth home run established a career high, eclipsing the five he hit in his debut season in 2018. The 21-year-old is batting .282/.367/.440 with 26 extra-base hits and 35 RBIs in 65 games. Athletics: Brady Feigl, RHP (No. 23), Double-A Midland
For the first time in his career, Feigl reached the double-digit strikeout mark. The 2018 Draft pick fanned 10 batters across six innings of four-hit, one-run ball, throwing 62 of his 86 pitches for strikes and issuing just two walks. Feigl gave up a two-out solo homer in the top of the first, but that was the only blemish on his otherwise strong day. He worked out of a couple jams, but none more emphatic than striking out the final three batters he faced after allowing a single to lead off the sixth inning. Braves: Kyle Muller, LHP (No. 5), Triple-A Gwinnett
Even though he walked three batters, Muller allowed just one hit and one unearned run across six innings in his first Triple-A start since being optioned back down on Aug. 13. The 23-year-old fanned four and didn’t allow a hit until a leadoff single started the fifth for Louisville and a fielding error and two groundouts brought the run home. It would be the only run Gwinnett would allow in its 4-1 victory. Muller lowered his Triple-A ERA to 3.42 with 60 strikeouts in 47 1/3 innings. Braves prospect stats »

Padres: Victor Acosta, SS (No. 14), Rookie-level Dominican Summer League
Acosta’s professional debut continues to bear fruit in his native Dominican Republic. The 17-year-old homered for the first time since his first game and finished with personal-bests of three hits and four RBIs, plus a stolen base. Acosta is batting .295/.424/.449 with seven extra-base hits, 16 RBIs and 16 stolen bases in 24 games. Padres prospect stats »

Rangers: Cody Bradford, LHP (No. 27), Double-A Frisco
Bradford’s strong August continued with a career-high seven shutout innings for Frisco. The 23-year-old scattered four hits and a walk while striking out nine on just 81 pitches. Bradford’s second scoreless outing in three starts with the RoughRiders lowered his ERA in 16 starts to 3.53. A sixth-round pick in last year’s Draft, the southpaw is averaging 12.8 strikeouts per nine innings, whiffing 112 in 79 frames with High-A Hickory and Frisco. Rangers prospect stats »

Rays: Curtis Mead, 2B (No. 14), High-A Bowling Green
Tommy Romero, RHP (No. 18), Triple-A Durham
Mead collected his second two-hit game in a row with a 2-for-3, four-RBI performance in Bowling Green’s 10-2 win. Mead’s big hit came in the second inning when he stepped up to bat with the bases loaded and one away. He promptly cleared the bases with a double, blowing it open and giving the Hot Rods a 6-0 lead. He added a solo homer in the fourth, his third dinger in High-A and 10th overall. After struggling a bit in his transition to High-A, Mead has settled in, slashing .281/.347/.438 with three homers, nine doubles and 20 RBIs in 34 games.

Romero surrendered just one hit and walked three as he tossed five innings in Durham’s shutout victory over Jacksonville. It’s Romero’s first scoreless outing in Triple-A and the first since July 1 as he tossed 59 of his 90 pitches for strikes. The 24-year-old got into a two-on, no-out jam to start the game, but he fanned the next two batters and induced a pop out to escape the early jam. The leadoff single was the only hit he allowed, and Romero now owns a 6.95 ERA in five starts for Durham. Rays prospect stats »

Tigers: Ryan Kreidler, SS (No. 10), Triple-A Toledo
After homering in his Triple-A debut Tuesday, Kreidler went deep again while adding a double, a single and three RBIs. The 23-year-old is 4-for-6 in his first two games with Toledo, providing early optimism his promotion was warranted. In the midst of his best month of the season, Kreidler has increased his slash line to .263/.333/.453 with 33 extra-base hits, 17 homers, 70 runs and 40 RBIs in 90 games with Double-A Erie and Toledo. White Sox: Micker Adolfo, OF (No. 12), Triple-A Charlotte
Luis Mieses, OF (No. 23), High-A Winston-Salem
Adolfo collected five hits and two home runs across two games in Charlotte’s doubleheader sweep of Norfolk, including a 3-for-3 performance in Game 2, a home run in each game and a combined three RBIs. Perhaps the most exciting part of Adolfo’s night were the back-to-back web gems he made in the second inning of Game 2: a diving catch on a sinking liner and a leaping catch at the wall to rob a home run. The 24-year-old now has five home runs and 11 RBIs through 18 games in Triple-A. 

Mieses crushed the first multihomer game of his career and drove in four of Winston-Salem’s 13 runs on a 2-for-5 day at the plate. Mieses’ first homer, a solo shot in the fourth, was the Dash’s first run of the game and the start of the 13 unanswered runs they would score. The four RBIs are a career-high for the 21-year-old, and he’s now slashing .283/.321/.566 this month with three home runs and 11 RBIs. White Sox prospect stats »
