White Sox make eight roster moves

Prior to today's game at San Francisco, the Chicago White Sox made the following eight roster moves:

• Optioned LHP Charlie Leesman to Class AAA Charlotte;
• Optioned OF Jared Mitchell and OF Trayce Thompson to Class AA Birmingham;
• Reassigned C Miguel Gonzalez, RHP Deunte Heath, RHP Omar Poveda, LHP Scott Snodgress and OF Keenyn Walker to minor-league camp.

With the moves, the White Sox have 47 players remaining in major-league camp: 23 pitchers, four catchers, 14 infielders and six outfielders.
