White Sox option Deunte Heath to Class AAA Charlotte

MINNEAPOLIS – Following today’s game at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Deunte Heath to Class AAA Charlotte.

Heath, 27, has gone 0-0 with an 11.74 ERA (10 ER/7.2 IP) in five relief appearances over three stints with the White Sox this season.  He was most recently recalled from Charlotte on June 6.

Heath also is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA (4 ER/16.0 IP) and 13 strikeouts over 10 relief appearances with the Knights in 2013.

The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night’s series opener at Kansas City.
