CHICAGO - Following today's series finale vs. the Tampa Bay Rays, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Gregory Infante to Class AAA Charlotte.
Infante, 30, has made six relief appearances for the White Sox this season, going 0-1 with a 16.62 ERA (8 ER/4.1 IP), three strikeouts and five walks.
Chicago will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night's series opener at Minnesota.
