Viciedo feeling better with thumb in glove

CHICAGO -- Dayan Viciedo remained out of Tuesday's starting lineup with a sore left thumb, sustained last Monday when diving for a Robinson Cano single to left. But he went through pregame defensive drills and felt better with the glove work, which was the one area causing the most pain.

"We have guys that can play out there until he feels good enough that he can go out there without any hesitation or complications or anything like that," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "Just try to make him as healthy as he can be."
