SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- In a game that featured seven home runs, Carlos Sanchez went deep twice as the White Sox defeated the Rockies, 11-7, at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on Monday afternoon.
Sanchez hit a two-run homer in a three-run fourth inning against Rockies starter Jordan Lyles, who gave up nine hits and seven runs in 4 2/3 innings. Matt Davidson drilled his fifth homer, a solo shot off Lyles earlier in the fourth.
Sanchez then homered off Rockies reliever Miguel Castro in the sixth, and White Sox slugger Jose Abreu added a solo shot in the seventh against Gonzalez Germen. Sanchez, Abreu, Davidson and Tyler Saladino all collected three hits.

White Sox starter John Danks entered with an 11-inning scoreless streak before giving up a run in the first. Danks also survived yielding homers to three straight batters -- Charlie Blackmon, Trevor Story and Carlos Gonzalez -- in the third. Danks earned the win by holding the Rockies to four runs on eight hits, with five strikeouts, in six innings.
"Couple bad pitches. Other than that, I felt pretty good," Danks said.

He also enjoyed the White Sox hitting show.
"It's fun to watch," Danks said. "It's great for us pitchers. These guys are catching the ball and putting up runs."

Story, a rookie trying to make his Major League debut as the Rockies' Opening Night shortstop, has six homers.
With one start left in Spring Training, Lyles is staring at a 7.88 ERA that does not include a rough outing in a Minor League game in his previous outing. Last year, he made just 10 starts (2-5, 5.14 ERA) before a torn ligament in his right big toe sidelined him for the season. He said the main positive of this spring is he is healthy.

"Spring Training is Spring Training," Lyles said. "It doesn't give anyone the excuse to go give up runs, but I'm healthy right now. That's the best thing. But, for me, I've got to do better.
"I've got one more start. I'm not sure how many innings I'll go. I'm looking forward to it being my last start."
Up next for the White Sox:  Ace Chris Sale makes his final Cactus League start Tuesday at 3:05 p.m. CT when the Sox host the Rangers. The 26-year-old left-hander will take the ball April 4 in the season opener against the A's in Oakland.
Up next for the Rockies: Lefty Chris Rusin, making his second spring appearance afer missing much of the schedule with left middle finger inflammation, is scheduled for his first start -- three innings or 45 pitches -- Tuesday against the D-backs at 2:10 p.m. MT. Righty prospect Antonio Senzatela will return to the Majors for an extended appearance. Righty Tyler Chatwood will pitch in a Minor League game against the Angels' Triple-A Salt Lake squad.
