ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays have signed pitcher Dustin McGowan to a Minor League deal with an invite to Major League Spring Training.
The veteran right-hander went 8-2 with a 4.74 ERA in 63 games, all in relief, for the Marlins in 2017. McGowan is 35-34 with a 4.50 ERA in 290 appearances in 10 MLB seasons with the Blue Jays, Phillies and Marlins.
McGowan, 35, will compete for a job in the Rays' bullpen.
