The Yankees will honor retiring first baseman Mark Teixeira before their Oct. 2 regular-season finale against the Orioles at Yankee Stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET.
Teixeira, 36, announced on Aug. 5 that 2016 would be the last of his 14-year Major League career.
Teixeira, who signed with the Yankees as a free agent in January 2009, enters Monday batting .248/.343/.477 with 203 home runs and 615 RBIs in his eight seasons in pinstripes. With the Yanks, he also has earned three American League Gold Glove Awards, one AL Silver Slugger Award, two AL All-Star nods and finished second in the AL Most Valuable Player Award voting during the Bombers' 2009 World Series-winning campaign.
Only four switch-hitters in baseball history (Mickey Mantle, Eddie Murray, Chipper Jones and Carlos Beltrán) have more home runs than Teixeira, who also played with the Rangers, Braves and Angels.
